I decided to go out with my son one afternoon to a place I'd only ever been on the motorbike. This avenue is surrounded on either side by broad-acre farming: a quite unusual site for a place normally littered with small farms tended by hand.

The people riding these bikes were only one group of a fairly regular flow of people walking or cycling. Most of the people were carrying heavy loads of timber either on the back of their bikes or balanced precariously on their heads.
